This is an illustration about the three fates or Moirae in Greek mythology. They were made up of three women, one who spun the string of life, another who measured it, and another who cut it at it’s end. In Ancient Greek tradition, a family would wait seven days before deciding to accept an infant into the Gens and to give it a name, cemented with a ritual at the hearth.
